Paul Moreno
President and Project Officer of the Ananda Agricultural Production Cooperative, Ecuador
Experienced specialist in social development projects. More than 20 years of experience in NGOs and non-profit organizations.
Graduated in Chemistry from the Polytechnic School of Chimborazo. Some graduate studies in biotechnology and related sciences. He worked with social development organizations all his life, starting as an instructor for women’s associations in the Ecuadorian Amazon jungle. In 2001 he started working for a Swiss NGO as a communications and customer service officer for all its projects in Europe, Africa and America. In 2006 founded a small nonprofit organization and was CEO until March 2019, with nearly $ 4 million invested in various projects: burnt clay bricks, downdraft and continuous brick kilns, dry toilets and sanitation, social housing, post-disaster reconstruction in Haiti, El Salvador, Pakistan, and after the earthquakes from 2016 and 2018 in Ecuador. These projects were linked to capacity building in the final beneficiaries and workers, with a strong participation of local governments and universities.
Today, Paul is President and Project Officer of the Ananda Agricultural Production Cooperative, @CooproAnanda “Building Sustainable Communities”.
