Britta Burreau has a solid background in the insurance and financial sector. Before she joined KPA Pension in 2016 she was Managing Director of Nordea Liv & Pension. KPA Pension is the leading pensions company in the local authority sector, entrusted with the pensions of over one million people. KPA Pension work for a sustainable future in a number of different ways including their ethical investments and efforts to bring about increased social responsibility. KPA Pension also work to ensure that the companies we invest in take their responsibility for people and the environment.
During Burreaus 12 years of management, Nordea Liv & Pension became profitable and grew heavily. Known as a manager who does not give up until everyone feels included, she is a front runner who embraces all dimensions of diversity, both at work and in society. In 2016 she received an award 2016 as the Inspirer of the year in the insurance industry for her change management work and new thinking. This year she was nominated to the Diversity Executive of the Year award by Sodexo company and a Swedish executive magazine. The purpose of the award is to highlight good examples of managers who, in their leadership, purposefully and strategically worked to promote diversity and challenged norms in their workplace.
Britta Burreau is also Board Member of Akademiska Hus and Chairman of Board of Swedish Scouts. She has a Master of Science in Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology and an Executive MBA from Stockholm School of Economics.
